What do you do when you know you need to get family photos done, but the fall and holiday season is CRAZY? You get family photos in January! For many families, there's a bit of a lull in January, when we can catch our breath just a little bit. January can be a spectacular month for family photos- it's often much drier than Feb-April, and the sun sets early- before 5:00- so photos can happen earlier in the evening while still capturing those lovely Colorado sunsets.
The Siebersma family was the first to take advantage of my new half sessions. These sessions are quicker at 30 minutes, and are meant for families who are ok with less creative posing and variety. Still, with the stunning mountain and canyon views of Palmer Park, right in the heart of Colorado Springs, we were able to capture some gorgeous shots of this lovely family. They opted for a casual and down-to-earth style that perfectly fits their family and the Colorado outdoors vibe.
