Late August evening session at two city parks in Colorado Springs
I've known Macy casually since she was a little girl. We have attended tea parties together (I'm looking at you, Jenny!), I've seen her perform with STARZ Theater Company and Turning Pointe Dance, and I've photographed her in costume and for formal dances. She's always sweet and lovely to be with and has an amazing smile! A golden evening and colorful sunset were perfect for this Colorado senior. We began our session at Nancy Lewis Park, where Macy got a little toasty in her adorable sweater and skirt, which perfectly matched the willow trees and pond at the park. Her longtime best furry friend, Bentley, joined us for the shoot, and I LOVE the sweet moments we caught (the big kiss on her nose is my favorite!).
Palmer Park never disappoints, especially in July and August, when there are wildflowers blooming everywhere. Sunflowers dominated the meadows this year after heavy rain! The sunset began golden and strong and faded to a beautiful pink, creating cotton-candy clouds. Macy was absolutely glowing and gorgeous in her white sundress in the meadow!
